Week 2 McCafe
I found this piece of graphic design at a McDonalds drive through, advertising their McCafe. It is an outdoor advertisement that looks fun. Its functions is to make the food the sell in their McCafe look appetising and make people want to go purchase it. The design is sectioned into 5 panels each showing a different item on their menu, they have designed it so it has a full image of the product as well as a square showing a close up, this allows the customer to see the full view as well as enjoy what it looks like close up as if you yourself were to be eating it. They have put a transparent white over the close up to attract your eye to it so you can quickly take in all parts and enjoy the trendy design without it being to difficult to see all parts. The brown strip down the bottom curves around and follows the type to again attract your attention. The type has a more casual feel to make it look less formal. I was attracted to this piece as it was well balanced and had a fun fresh feel about it to successfully advertise their McCafe.

I believe the ease in the viewing of this idea has been obtained by the same sky blue colour evident in all the backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteIn reference to the obvious red panels in the montage, i believe this has been used by means of making the concept dynamic and contrasting, so that interest isnt lost in its perception.
I agree with your attraction to the piece, though personally, i would be attracted to it only because it is McDonalds
